UFC Singapore DFS Lineup
UFC SINGAPORE DFS LINEUP – There are two mainstays to play DFS for MMA; DraftKings and FanDuel. Each has its own scoring rules and variations, but they are similar. Here are DraftKings’ scoring rules and FanDuel’s scoring rules. I will always list fighters I think should be selected as MVP at the top and will use DraftKings budget to model my projections.
MVP Pick
Max Holloway $9,700
Max Holloway could have neglected The Korean Zombie and pushed for a fourth title fight against Alexander Volkanovski, but he has too much respect for the game. Holloway is more worried about the list of guys he fought than world titles, and that is refreshing in a sport where everybody is dodging guys on their way to the belt. Holloway is clearly the better fighter at this stage in their careers and should have another dominant performance over five rounds.
Other Picks
Rolando Bedoya $9,200
Bedoya almost won his UFC debut against Khaos Williams but did not get the nod from the judges. Kenan Song is coming off back-to-back losses to Ian Garry and Max Griffin, with the most recent coming via knockout in March. Bedoya looked good in his debut, where he landed 149 of 209 significant strikes, with his output increasing in the third round. He will be too much for Song, who has a questionable chin and tends to get hit. Bedoya also has a three-inch reach advantage, which should help him touch Song’s chin.
Erin Blanchfield $8,500
Taila Santos fell short in her title bout against Valentina Shevchenko in 2022 but is back after a year’s layoff. She has a tough test against Erin Blanchfield, who has burst into the top contenders with her dominant submission victory over Jessica Andrade in February. Both women have solid wrestling, which could make this a striking match. Blanchfield lands 6.06 significant strikes per minute compared to 3.35 strikes per minute for Santos. Blanchfield should have the toolbox to get the job done on the feet.
Billy Goff $7,800
Billy Goff is not the most intelligent fighter in the world, but he is tough and never quits. He is facing Yusaku Kinoshita, who lost his UFC debut by knockout to Adam Fugitt. Goff gets hit, which could be a problem for him in this fight, but Kinoshita is only 23 and is prone to making mistakes. Goff can mix things up enough to get the victory if he can avoid the power shot from Kinoshita.
Parker Porter $7,600
Parker Porter is taking on Junior Tafa in a heavyweight matchup. The odds are near even, but the amount of experience is not. Porter is 14-8 in his career, while Tafa is 4-1. Tafa’s brother, Justin, knocked Porter out in February, so maybe he could give some insight, but Junior still has to pull the trigger. Porter also has the grappling edge in this fight should he choose to use it. Tafa was controlled for 12 minutes by Mohammed Usman in his debut and should see something similar from Porter.
Alex Caceres $7,200
Alex Caceres has his hands full with Giga Chikadze on the feet. Chikadze has incredible kickboxing but lacks the grappling necessary to deal with Caceres. Caceres has improved his striking but will lose in a standup match. He can exploit Chikadze’s weaknesses on the mat by mixing in takedowns while striking. Caceres is a live underdog in this matchup.
