UFC Louisville Three Best Moneyline Bets

UFC Louisville Three Best Moneyline Bets

Eduarda Moura (10-0) vs Denise Gomes (8-3)

Looking to keep her undefeated record alive, Moura seeks her second win with the UFC. She earned her contract through the Contender Series in August then dominated Montserrat Ruiz in November. Grappling is the name of the game for this Brazilian as she does a great job of smothering her opponents on the mat and looking for finishing opportunities. Flyweight is probably a better division for her as she struggles to reach strawweight, but she uses that size advantage very well. Read more UFC Louisville three best moneyline bets.

Gomes took a step up in competition in terms of fighting a 28-fight veteran in Angela Hill. She came up short that night after getting grinded out throughout 15 minutes. Throwing with reckless intent, Gomes has finished 6 of her 8 wins, with 2 of those coming in the UFC. Grappling seems to be the flaw in her game, but it’s clear she is slowly working on improving it.

Moura’s ability to weight bully her opponents has led to her success and I think it will pay off once again. Seeing Gomes get grinded out by fighters like Hill and Lookboonmee instills confidence that Moura can do it even more dominantly. It would not surprise me to see Moura drag this to the mat and secure a finish, but her moneyline at -200 is not bad at all in case she ends up taking this to the scorecards.

The Pick: Eduarda Moura -200

Thiago Moises (18-7) vs Ludovit Klein (21-4-1)

Moises has found it tough to muster up consistency in the UFC since joining the promotion in late 2018. He has put together a 6-5 record, most recently coming off a fight that he won via leg kicks. Drowning his opponents with his BJJ black belt is normally the way he wins his fights, but he is gaining more confidence in his striking which should allow his grappling to flow a little easier behind it.

Since starting his UFC career 1-2, Klein is now undefeated over his last five fights. He is learning to not force the issue anymore and accepting that grinding his opponents out with grappling behind his striking is likely the best way for him to get his hand raised. High kicks and power punches is how he has finished most opponents in the first half of his career, but rather than seeking the finish, Klein is going for takedowns or looking to smother his opponents after dropping them.

This is a close fight, as the odds indicate, but I believe Moises should have enough advantages in this fight to get the win. I think we’ll see him a tad more active than Klein in the striking and I think his BJJ black belt will help him from being grinded out by Klein. Look for calf kicks and grappling success from Moises to pull off the small upset.

The Pick: Thiago Moises +115

Brunno Ferreira (11-1) vs Dustin Stoltzfus (15-5)

One of my favorite prospects on the roster, Ferreira successfully bounced back from his first professional loss by knocking out Phil Hawes in January. Ferreira is a BJJ black belt but often looks to throw haymakers instead to put his opponent’s lights out. If the knockout does not show itself, then he will look for the takedown to find a position to smash, as his nickname “Hulk” portrays.

Stoltzfus pulled off a solid upset in his last fight against Punahele Soriano, in a fight that he seemed to win every minute of until finding the finish in the last minute of the second round. He used straight punches to thwart the winging hooks of Soriano, then would drag the fight to the mat to use his BJJ which eventually saw him snatch up a rear naked choke. I think he is showing that he is better than his 2-4 UFC record indicates.

It’s bittersweet for me to pick against Ferreira here, but I think Stoltzfus has the tools to cause him trouble. Stoltzfus should be able to land effective shots down the pipe whilst using his footwork to stay away from the big power of Ferreira. I also think Stoltzfus has a better gas tank so that if he can survive the early finishing threat from the Brazilian, he can take over and start to cruise in deep water. The line is far too wide and Stoltzfus is worth a shot at this price tag.

The Pick: Dustin Stoltzfus +235
