UFC Denver Three Best Moneyline Bets

UFC Denver Three Best Moneyline Bets

Josh Fremd (11-5) vs Andre Petroski (10-3)

Taking a short notice bout against a streaking Roman Kopylov, Fremd came up short back in September after his takedown-heavy approach failed. Normally Fremd is successful with cage pushing, pressuring, and putting a pace on his opponents so he can finish them later. He trains at altitude and often shows a great gas tank, probably the best weapon in his skill set. Read UFC Denver three best moneyline bets.

Petroski is coming off one of the most unique losses we’ve ever seen, as he shot for a takedown and hit the hip of his opponent, causing his equilibrium to shake, allowing his opponent to find a quick finish. Petroski normally showcases a power-striking style that leads to him using his BJJ black belt to take opponents down and smash them from top position or grind them out. Cardio has not been a shining part of his game in the past, but he’s come out on top against average competition late in fights.

It makes sense why this fight is a coin flip. Fremd has the cardio edge and can pull away in deep water, while Petroski presents a ton of problems early which could see him finish Fremd. I’ll lean with the guy that can go for longer and take advantage of Petroski’s cardio issue. At pick ‘em odds, flip a coin, but I’ll lean with Fremd.

The Pick: Josh Fremd -110

Montel Jackson (13-2) vs Da’Mon Blackshear (14-6-1)

Once seen as the bantamweight’s next champion, Jackson has hit two speed bumps that have slowed his ascent down. Mixing in his lack of activity and stepping in the cage, Jackson is not often thought of as much anymore when talking about bantamweights on the rise. He is heavy handed, recording 10 knockdowns in his last 6 fights, and has an improving grappling game that will help counter gameplans people have used against him.

Blackshear had one of the most notable regional runs before making it to the UFC. Not because of a winning streak or anything, but the level of opposition he faced, proving he deserved to be fighting at this level. He is a BJJ black belt that does his best work on the mat, but he also packs a punch in his striking. Cardio has been the bane of his career, but with more high-level experience, we should see him start working through those issues.

It’s not often we see Jackson in betting range, people love to make him a chalky favorite. However, there’s clear love on the underdog this week due to the grappling advantage he could hold. I believe Jackson will provide enough resistance early, to eventually take over in rounds two and three where he can find a knockout or finish.

The Pick: Montel Jackson -150

Jasmine Jasudavicius (10-3) vs Fatima Kline (6-0)

Even in defeat back in September, Jasudavicius proved that she can hang with some of the best in the division. She came up short against Tracy Cortez, who headlines this card, but put up a valiant effort. Wrestling is her forte and she does a solid job of implementing pressure and high pace. Her striking is what keeps her from reaching the next level. If opponents can keep her from being successful with her wrestling, they are able to pick her apart on the feet. Jasudavicius will walk through the striking, but the optics of her getting touched up never looks good to the judges.

Kline is one of the hottest women’s MMA prospects we’ve seen in a long time. She is a BJJ black belt and brings in an undefeated 6-0 record to her UFC debut. Largely relying on her grappling to get wins, we are seeing clear improvements in her striking game that allow her to mix in the grappling a little easier. Her cardio is high level and I believe training alongside Erin Blanchfield regularly has shown her what it takes to be successful at the UFC level.

The line movement in this fight has been interesting. We saw Kline open around +150, get back up to about -160, and now she finds herself as a slight dog as the line starts settling. I believe Kline is worth the risk at this price, maybe even up to -125/-130. I think we’ll see her use her grappling defensively and showcase her striking advantage, landing more visible damage while nullifying the forward movement of Jasudavicius.

The Pick: Fatima Kline +100
