Tottenham Hotspur vs. Brighton & Hove Albion Expert Pick

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Brighton & Hove Albion Expert Pick

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR VS. BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION EXPERT PICK – We should have an action packed game between 5th place Tottenham and 6th place Brighton. These two teams are only separated by 4 points and both are looking to get into the top 4 for Champions League qualification.

Tottenham will be aiming to regain their spot in the top 4 after dropping to 5th place from their 1-1 draw against Everton. Interim Manager Cristian Stellini may be Tottenham’s new manager for the moment, but the team as a whole is still suffering from all of the Conte woes.

Brighton continued their impressive run with a 2-0 win over Bournemouth, putting them undefeated in 5 straight Premier League games. They currently sit only 7 points from the top 4 (with a game in hand) so a win for them is crucial.

Prop Bets

| Both Teams to Score Yes (-155) |

I’m predicting goals for both sides in this game. Tottenham ranks 3rd in goals scored this season. They’ve scored in 9 of their last 10 Premier League games, and they have Harry Kane, who has scored just as many goals alone than Everton has as a team. Meanwhile, Brighton rank 4th in goals scored and they’ve found the back of the net in 16 of their last 17 Premier League games.

| Brighton Team Total Goals Over 1.5 (+135) |

Brighton are undefeated in 10 of their last 11 matches in the Premier League and the continue to be one of the most exciting teams to watch this season.

Brighton are also just as good in away games as they are at home, scoring more goals and having less losses on away turf. Tottenham tend to be leaky at back, Brighton rank 4th in goals scored this season, and Brighton have scored 2+ goals in 52% of their games this season.

Tips

  • Tottenham are definitely injury ridden at the moment and they will be without Lucas Moura, Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur, Emerson Royal, Ben Davies, and Ryan Sessegnon.
  • Jakub Moder, Adam Lallana, and Jeremy Sarmiento are ruled out for Brighton but De Zerbi should be able to go with the same starting 11 that he used in the win against Bournemouth.
  • Tottenham have seen under 2.5 goals in their last 3 matches against Brighton in all competitions.
  • Brighton are undefeated in 10 of their 11 matches in the Premier League.
  • Both teams are averaging 1.8 goals per match.
  • Tottenham have not drawn a Premier League match this season at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Word

Tottenham have not had a single clean sheet in a 10:00 AM game this season and they are conceding an average of 2 goals per game at this time. Meanwhile, Brighton are averaging over 2 goals per game at 10:00 AM. Could this mean something?

Anyway, Brighton are just so exciting to watch and they pretty much score goals for fun in away games, so it’s so hard to look past Brighton right now. Tottenham are coming off 2 draws in a row to relegation-ish teams and it seems like the energy at the club is low at the moment.

I do think Tottenham are good and both teams are pretty evenly matched, but with the injury list piling up I just don’t see them winning here. I’m going with Brighton but I wouldn’t be too surprised to see a draw.

PREDICTION: TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 1 – 2 BRIGHTON
