Thursday Night Football: Seahawks at Cowboys Expert Pick
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SEAHAWKS AT COWBOYS EXPERT PICK AND PREDICTION: The Dallas Cowboys are undefeated at home this season as they welcome the Seattle Seahawks to town on Thursday night. The Seahawks are on their second game of a tough three-game stretch after losing to the 49ers last week and will face San Francisco again next week. It should be an exciting game between two teams in second place in their division.

Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks lost to the San Francisco 49ers at home last week 31 to 13 and are now two games back of them for first in the division. Geno Smith had a triceps contusion the past couple of weeks but was not on the injury report to start the week. Kenneth Walker did not practice on Monday or Tuesday and is in jeopardy of missing a second consecutive game.
Leonard Williams was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday as he is dealing with an ankle injury. Jamal Adams was also a limited participant due to a knee issue, but it seems more like a rest day for the oft-injured safety.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys obliterated the Washington Commanders at home last week, 45 to 10. Micah Parsons missed practice on Tuesday due to an illness, and his status should have clarity later in the week. Defensive end Dante Fowler has missed both practices this week with an illness. He missed practice last week with an illness but ended up playing. Linebacker Tyrus Wheat and safety Jayron Kearse missed practice on Monday but was a full participant on Tuesday.
Rico Dowdle was a limited participant in both practices this week due to an ankle injury. He was on the injury report last week and suited up for the Cowboys.
Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys Head-To-Head
The Cowboys are one of the best teams in the league with a well-rounded team. They rank second in allowing opponent’s third down conversions and in converting third downs on offense. They are exceptional on third downs on both sides of the ball. The Seahawks have only converted 31.3% of third downs this season, tied for twenty-ninth. They only had 14 first downs last week and finished 3-11 on third down.
It should be much of the same this week, especially with Walker out. Zach Charbonnet finished with 14 carries for 47 yards last week and four receptions for 11 yards. He was inefficient, and the Seahawks will have a tough time if they are behind the chains in this game.
The Seahawks are not good on defense. They surrender 22.6 points per game and are facing the highest-scoring (31.5 ppg) offense. The Cowboys should be able to execute their game plan of a balanced attack as the Seahawks struggle against the run and pass. They rank in the bottom third of the league in rushing yards and passing yards per game. They also allow teams to convert 44.1% of third downs.
It is setting up like a blowout, which the Cowboys have done to multiple teams this season.
Prediction
Over/Under
The total is 47.5 in this matchup. The Cowboys have hit the 40-point mark four times this season and could do it again. I would take the over and hope the Seahawks can muster enough points to cover the number.
Spread
The Cowboys are nine-point favorites in this home matchup and are the side to take. They continue to blow out teams with bad defenses, which the Seahawks profile as. Take -9 now before it moves past 10.
Player Prop
The Seahawks have not stopped running backs from catching passes. Pollard has at least four receptions in the last two games but only has 43 receiving yards. His receiving total is 19.5 this week, and I would take the over.
