Super Bowl MVP Picks

The wait is over – Super Bowl Sunday has arrived, and the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are ready to battle for football immortality. While the Lombardi Trophy is the ultimate prize, another prestigious honor hangs in the balance: Super Bowl MVP. Read more Super Bowl MVP picks.

Will Patrick Mahomes win his fourth in as many tries, or will Jalen Hurts seize the moment? Perhaps a defensive star or unexpected hero will steal the show. As the game unfolds, all eyes are on who will deliver when it matters most.

Unlike the NFL MVP, non-quarterbacks have a legitimate shot take home this award and have done so nine times since the turn of the century. Let’s look at the odds-on favorites to take home the comically unnamed MVP trophy.

Super Bowl MVP 2025

Patrick Mahomes: +120
Saquon Barkley: +260
Jalen Hurts: +350
Travis Kelce: +1500
Xavier Worthy: +2800
A.J. Brown: +3500

Mahomes, Again?

Picking Mahomes to win the MVP seems almost too easy and predictable. In the Divisional Round against the Houston Texans, he posted underwhelming numbers, throwing for just 177 yards. However, he stepped up his game in the AFC Championship, passing for 245 yards and adding 43 rushing yards, while accounting for three total touchdowns. Now, Mahomes is aiming for his fourth MVP award, and with the Chiefs likely needing to rely on the passing game to overcome the dominant Eagles, he’ll be crucial to their success.

Value Meal

Fans of our Saturday Pick’s Show, which is seen and heard worldwide as well as in Roanoke, Virginia, know that most of us love a good value bet—John, however, is the lone dissenter in that regard!

If you’re someone who often orders from the dollar menu at McDonald’s, you might want to take a flyer on Chiefs DL Chris Jones. With +6600 odds, he’s the most impactful defensive player on the field tonight. According to PFF.com, Jones was the top pass rusher this season, earning a 91.0 grade, and he’s capable of generating pressure up the middle, which can be devastating for opposing quarterbacks.

If you’re leaning towards an Eagles victory, the best bet is on Saquon Barkley to take home the trophy. In three playoff games this season, Barkley has rushed for 442 yards and five touchdowns on 66 carries, while also adding seven catches for 35 yards. While the odds favor Jalen Hurts if you’re backing the Eagles, Barkley will be the key to their success in this game.

Another difference-maker with great value is A.J. Brown (+3500). He had 96 receiving yards and a touchdown in the NFC Championship game against the Washington Commanders. As the Chiefs likely focus on shutting down the run game, Brown could be primed for an “inspirational” performance in the Super Bowl.
