Tottenham Hotspur (4th)

Tottenham currently sit 4th in the Premier League table.

They have been extremely impressive so far this season and honestly don’t seem to miss Harry Kane at all. In their previous match against Arsenal they showed a lot of composure to level the scoreline twice in a difficult away game.

James Madison has been an excellent addition and I have a feeling that Tottenham’s pace on the counter-attack could pose a lot of problems for a leaky Liverpool defense.

Liverpool (2nd)

Liverpool find themselves sitting 2nd in the Premier League standings and are currently on a 5 game win streak. Jurgen Klopp’s side are playing well, but they have to stop going behind.

Yes, they’ve had enough firepower to comeback and win these games, but I am not sure they can continue to keep it up, especially against top teams.

Premier League Standings (2023-2024)

DraftKings Moneyline Odds: | HOME: +185 | TIE: +295 | AWAY: +115 |

Prop Bets

| Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Total Goals (-220) |

  • 5 of the last 6 encounters between these two teams featured over 2.5 goals with both teams finding the back of the net.
  • Over 2.5 goals have been scored in Tottenham’s previous 3 matches.
  • Liverpool’s last 7 matches in all competitions has produced over 2.5 goals.

| Mohamed Salah to Score Anytime (+140) |

Mohamed Salah still remains the face of Liverpool nd he has netted 3 goals in 6 Premier League appearances this season. He scored 3 goals against Tottenham last season and has scored 9 career goals against them. He has managed to find the back of the net in his previous 2 consecutive appearances for Liverpool .

Tips

  • Liverpool will be without Thiago Alcantara due to injury while Trent Alexander-Arnold still remains doubtful.
  • Tottenham will be without Ryan Sessegnon, Bryan Gil, Alfie Whiteman, Ivan Perisic and Rodrigo Bentancur while James Madison, Brennan Johnson, and Giovani Lo Celso all remain doubtful.
  • Tottenham have not beaten Liverpool in the Premier League since 2017.
  • Liverpool are currently unbeaten in their last 17 Premier League matches which is the longest streak of any team in the League.
  • Liverpool have conceded 1st in their last 2 Premier League away games.
  • Liverpool have found the back of the net in each of their last 15 matches against Tottenham in the Premier League but have kept only 2 clean sheets during this period.

The Word

Liverpool have completely revamped their midfield and no matter how permeable their backline may appear to be, the Reds remain a huge threat on the attacking end of the pitch. If they want to continue their unbeaten streak though, they have to quit conceding first. Dominik Szoboszlai continues to impress and Darwin Nunez has seem to find his place in the squad.

Tottenham have also been excellent thus far and have been in great form under new manager Ange Postecoglou. James Maddison’s fitness will be imperative to Tottenham’s success in this match.

I honestly feel like this is a game that anyone could win and in my opinion betting on a winner could be tricky and risky which is why I’m staying on the fence and sticking to props as opposed to moneyline. This game should definitely live up to it’s hype and I foresee both teams keeping their unbeaten streaks alive.

Prediction: Tottenham 2 – Liverpool 2
