PL Matchweek 25: Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool
PL MATCHWEEK 25: CRYSTAL PALACE VS. LIVERPOOL –Â These two sides played out a 1-1 draw earlier this season and Crystal Palace will surely believe they can once again get a positive result.
Liverpool are coming off a disastrous midweek defeat to Real Madrid and their confidence will be low after their defensive issues were exposed.
Liverpool have won their previous 2 Premier League matches though, picking up 2 clean sheets in those wins.

After suffering a humiliating defeat to Real Madrid mid-week, Liverpool’s Champions League tournament is most likely over. Their Premier League title hopes are also over.
So it’s back to their minimum season requirements: getting top 4 and qualifying for next year’s Champions League.Â
Liverpool are coming off back-to-back Premier League wins and will be looking to make it a 3rd consecutive win for only the second time this season.
They have won 35 games and drawn 12 against Crystal Palace in their previous 61 meetings and are unbeaten in their previous 13 matches against Crystal Palace.Â
Liverpool have looked much better in the midfield with the addition of youngster Stefan Bajcetic, which has allowed Darwin Nunez some space and a run of good form.
Cody Gakpo is also in a run of good form. With these two players beginning to draw attention from defenses, that opens up you know who…Mohamed Salah.Â
I’m expecting a tight game, but, luckily for Liverpool, they will not be facing Real Madrid. Instead, they will be facing a Crystal Palace team that cannot seem to pull out a win.
Crystal Palace have shown a lack of a reliable goal scorer and with Wilfried Zaha still not fully fit, I have faith that Liverpool will get all 3 points.
Tips
- Crystal Palace are still without a win in 2023 and are winless in their previous 7 Premier League matches.
- Crystal Palace have drawn 4 of their last 5 Premier League matches.
- 6 of Liverpool’s 7 losses this season have come in away games.
- 4 of the previous 5 matches between these 2 teams have produced less than 2.5 goals.
