Tottenham is the better team on paper, but they have allowed 10 goals in their previous five Premier League games. In the past 20 head-to-heads between these two teams there have only been 4 draws and both teams have scored in 14 of the 20 games.

The Word

Tottenham are currently sitting fifth in the table and have a good chance to break into the top four with a win this weekend. West Ham are on the other end of the spectrum with only 2 points separating them from the relegation zone. 

On paper, Tottenham are better, but I don’t think this is going to be an easy game for them. With Hugo Lloris being injured and Tottenham’s habit of allowing goals, it seems very reasonable to think that West Ham will get a goal and make this game interesting. 

Since coming off their five game losing streak, West Ham have managed to only lose one of their previous five Premier League games. On the other hand, Tottenham have lost 3 of their previous 5 while allowing 10 goals during that span. I’m going to give Tottenham the edge here due to the fact that they’re playing at home.
