Paul’s Picks for College Football Week 11: Tulane, Wake Forest and More!

Winning Ways

Oh yes, I had big wins with Notre Dame taking down undefeated 5th ranked Clemson and LSU over 6th ranked Alabama.  Last week’s record was 3-1.

UCF Knights at Tulane Green Wave (-2) (o/u 54.5)

Tulane is -2 at home vs. UCF on Saturday 3:30.

The Green Wave has been so impressive this year with only one close loss to Southern Miss and wins over Kansas State and Houston.

Let’s stick with the team which has not lost yet at home this year and on a five game winning streak. Pick: Green Wave -2

UNC Tarheels at Wake Forest Demon Deacons (-3.5) (o/u 77)

Wake Forest is -3.5 at home vs. North Carolina on Saturday at 7:30.

Two teams are fighting it out for a place in the ACC conference championship.  The Deacons need this win and will be sky high after several very tough losses.

The Heels look good with an 8-1 record, but I’m not impressed with who they have beat. Pick: Demons -3.5

Iowa State Cyclones at Oklahoma State Cowboys (+1.5) (o/u 48.5)

Oklahoma State is a +1.5 favorite at home vs. Iowa State this Saturday at 12:30.

Which team shows up this week? Is it the team that was shut out by Kansas State or the team that beat Texas and almost won in double OT to TCU?

I see them righting the ship at home and getting points against the inferior Cyclone team is just a cherry on top of the Cowboys beat down. Pick: Cowboys +1.5

Purdue Boilermakers at Illinois Fighting Illini (-6.5) (o/u 45)

Illinois is -6.5 favorite at home vs. Purdue on Saturday at 12:00.

This looks like a good value play. The Fighting Illini have a superior resume heading into this game with wins over Iowa and Wisconsin, while Purdue has losses against the same teams.

The Illini need this to stay in the Big 10 championship hunt. I would not lay more than 7.  Pick: Illini -6.5
