Ole Miss Star RB Quinshon Judkins to Enter Transfer Portal
OXFORD, Mississippi – It appears that Ole Miss start running back, Quinshon Judkins, plans to enter the transfer portal as of Thursday, January 4th, 2023. Read on for Ole Miss Star RB Quinshon Judkins to Enter Transfer Portal.
Judkins has been an absolute force for the Ole Miss Rebels for the last two seasons. While common perception of the Lane Kiffin offense is pass heavy, Judkins has served as the lynchpin of the offense during the last two seasons where the Rebels have seen a lot of success runninf.

In two seasons with Ole Miss, Judkins has rushed for 2,723 yards and scored 34 touchdowns. He was the 2022 SEC Freshman of the Year and an ALL-SEC selection for the 2023 season. He was the second-leading rusher in the SEC behind Cody Schrader of Missouri.

Kiffin Responds
Lane Kiffin is no stranger to the transfer portal. This off season has been a particularly good one for the Ole Miss head coach, as he looks to shore up the offensive line and the defense. Kiffin has brought in some high level recruits off the transfer portal, including Walter Nolen (Texas A&M), Antwane Wells Jr. (South Carolina) and Princely Umanmielen (Florida).
Kiffin seems to be taking the news with his trademark style of humor. He posted a picture of a shark with the caption “catch and release” on X today. The shark is of particular significance, since the Rebels often call themselves the Landsharks and, well, Kiffin likes to go deep sea fishing.

It is unclear if Kiffin plans to utilize the money he has raised for NIL to try and keep Judkins.
Where Judkins Could Land
Judkins is a graduate of Pike Road High School in Alabama and many speculate that his ties to the state could land him at either Auburn or Alabama. Note: this is all speculation.
Hugh Freeze has been utilizing NIL money before it was cool. I have no doubt that the Auburn boosters will set aside a bag for the game-changing back. Freeze runs an offensive style much like Kiffin and Judkins would thrive in an offense headed by the former Liberty coach.
Alabama always makes sense for every player imaginable, because it’s Alabama. We’ll have to see if Nick Saban retires this year or decides to attempt a comeback and actually win a National Championship. That’s something the Tide have not been able to do for over three years. Jalen Milroe can certainly run and Judkins would complement the offense that has been installed out of necessity in Tuscaloosa.
Don’t be shocked if Deion Sanders makes a run at Judkins as well. Sanders has already stated that he wants to be aggressive in the portal and he still has ties to the state of Mississippi.
Wherever he lands, I hope he gets paid. I imagine he will.
