Thoughts |
|
Kansas City Chiefs | 0-0 | Patrick Mahomes is still at the helm, so I see no reason for them not being the best team. Travis Kelce may have finished under 1,000 yards for the first time since 2015, but the Chiefs have several new options for Mahomes to target. |
| San Francisco 49ers | 0-0 | The Brandon Aiyuk situation is now fully in the rearview mirror, and the 49ers are insanely talented with him, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey. |
| Baltimore Ravens | 0-0 | The Ravens added Derrick Henry in the offseason, which should relieve some of the rushing pressure from Lamar Jackson. It should be interesting to see how these two play off each other. |
| Detroit Lions | 0-0 | Dan Campbell has ignited this franchise into a perennial contenders. Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown have developed lots of chemistry together, and Sam LaPorta could take a big stride in his second season. |
| Philadelphia Eagles | 0-0 | Saquon Barkley is a welcome addition to this offense that already features Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, and Devonta Smith. Barkley should relieve some pressure from Hurts, who struggled down the stretch last season. |
| Houston Texans | 0-0 | C.J. Stroud had an impressive rookie season, and the Texans went out and got Stefon Diggs to bolster his receiving corps. Joe Mixon also came in to help this team improve their ground attack. |
| Buffalo Bills | 0-0 | Josh Allen is incredibly talented but lost Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis in the offseason. His targets will be Dalton Kincaid, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and Curtis Samuel this season, so we will see how that plays out. |
| Cincinnati Bengals | 0-0 | The biggest question for the Bengals is Joe Burrow’s health. Ja’Marr Chase is still holding out for a larger contract, which could cause him to miss games if it is not resolved soon. |
| Green Bay Packers | 0-0 | Jordan Love led the Packers to the playoffs last season and performed well down the stretch. They lost Aaron Jones but added Josh Jacobs, which could make this an elite offense this season. |
| Dallas Cowboys | 0-0 | CeeDee Lamb got paid, and Cowboys fans no longer have to worry about him missing games this season. This team should be elite on both sides of the ball but will only go as far as Dak Prescott takes them. |
| Miami Dolphins | 0-0 | The Dolphins have a great team on paper, but there have already been some health questions before the season. Jaylen Waddle is dealing with a calf injury, and their newest receiver, Odell Beckham Jr. has not practiced with the team yet. |
| Los Angeles Rams | 0-0 | The Rams are not a team to be taken lightly. Aaron Donald may not be there, but this offense is elite and can put up points in a hurry. |
| Cleveland Browns | 0-0 | Is Deshaun Watson able to return to his former self? That is the biggest question with this team that has an elite defense. |
| New York Jets | 0-0 | Aaron Rodgers did not play a full game for the Jets last season, and the Jets’ fans had to endure another awful season. He is back, and the Jets are the favorites to win the AFC East. |
| Pittsburgh Steelers | 0-0 | Mike Tomlin always gets his defenses to play hard, especially down the stretch. Russell Wilson will be at the helm this season, which may be what this offense needs as they intend to implement their stellar ground game. |
| Jacksonville Jaguars | 0-0 | The Jaguars had the injury bug last season, which left them struggling to score points last season. Trevor Lawrence is talented but needs a winning season in the AFC South. |
| Chicago Bears | 0-0 | The Caleb Williams era is upon us. He has all the playmakers he needs to be a star on day one. We will see how that pans out in Chicago. |
| Indianapolis Colts | 0-0 | Anthony Richardson had his season cut short last year but is ready to lead this team to the playoffs. They nearly made the playoffs with Gardner Minshew last season. |
| Atlanta Falcons | 0-0 | Kirk Cousins is now under center in Atlanta and should transform this offense immediately. Drake London and Kyle Pitts are ready to be utilized correctly, and I do not have to tell you how good Bijan Robinson is. |
| Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 0-0 | Baker Mayfield is constantly getting slept on, and I may have this team a bit too low on this list. The Buccaneers are a sneaky team this year, and it all depends on Mayfield. |
| Seattle Seahawks | 0-0 | The Seahawks have a new head coach, Mike Macdonald, and many offensive weapons. Can Geno Smith take them to the playoffs? |
| Los Angeles Chargers | 0-0 | Jim Harbaugh will get the most out of his players, but do they have enough talent to make the playoffs? Justin Herbert has few weapons in this offense that will likely pound the rock. |
| Minnesota Vikings | 0-0 | Sam Darnold is set to be the starter this season after J.J. McCarthy got injured. It may be a rebuilding year for the Vikings. |
| Arizona Cardinals | 0-0 | Arizona is a sneaky team this season, but their defense is questionable. The offense should perform well with Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr., but can they score enough to win games? |
| Tennessee Titans | 0-0 | Will Levis has some new weapons to help his development in his second season. Calvin Ridley should help any quarterback improve, but is Tony Pollard a good replacement for Derrick Henry? |
| New Orleans Saints | 0-0 | Derek Carr is an average NFL quarterback, but he needs a great defense if they want to be a winning football team. |
| Washington Commanders | 0-0 | Jayden Daniels does not have a lot of help on this offense, but let’s see if he can do something out of nothing. |
| Las Vegas Raiders | 0-0 | It is hard to think that Gardner Minshew or Aidan O’Connell is the answer at quarterback. |
| New York Giants | 0-0 | As long as the Giants have Daniel Jones at quarterback, it is difficult to see them winning games. |
| Denver Broncos | 0-0 | Bo Nix is starting for Sean Payton from the jump, but I do not think he is good enough to make this team relevant this season. |
| New England Patriots | 0-0 | Jacoby Brissett will start for Jerod Mayo to begin the season. The offensive line is not great, and they open with some tough teams. It is probably better not to throw Drake Maye to the wolves immediately. |
| Carolina Panthers | 0-0 | The Panthers have question marks all over their roster and need to see more from Bryce Young in his sophomore season. |
