Week 1 of the NFL brought us some incredible action from the best sports product in America. We all love the NFL for its parity, but these kickers really pushed our love for the game to the limit. Your crack team of degenerate analysts rode a rocky weekend full of underperforming favorites and underdog surprises. Check out the standings thru Week 1 below!
Best Play
NoPickNate: Nate found value in the right underdogs and hit a nice under on the Sunday Night game to ride Week 1 to a 7-5 start. That’s impressive for two reasons: (1) he picked more than three games and (2) he picked the Steelers. Best Play: Steelers (+6.5). Final Score: Steelers 23 – Bengals 20.
Jack Fredericks: I was determined the avoid my mistakes of last year and that abysmal 30% winning percentage, so I chose six games and one point total. I did okay, with a 5-3 record, but things could have gone a lot worse had the Lions not put in a nice fourth quarter for the backdoor cover. My vegan diet had my stomach churning after the Geno Smith show on Monday Night. Look no further than your new favorite Seahawks fan! Best Play: Seahawks (+6.5). Final Score: Broncos 16 – Seahawks 17.Â

John Fredericks: The Godzilla loves to lay the points. He picked almost every favorite in Week 1 and rooted for blowouts. Unfortunately, his strategy backfired and he’s currently living in the cellar. As for this best play? It has to be the Chiefs. He’s been telling us for weeks that Cardinals stink. He might just be right. Best Play: Chiefs (-6). Final Score: Chiefs 44 – Cardinals 21.Â
