MLS Soccer Predictions: FC Dallas vs. Nashville SC
MLS SOCCER PREDICTIONS: FC DALLAS VS. NASHVILLE SC – FC Dallas (4th Western Conf.) vs Nashville SC (2nd Eastern Conf.). Dallas will be looking to end their three game winless run and will be thankful to be back on home soil after back-to-back away matches. They will be hosting title-chasing Nashville SC at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas this Saturday.
Nashville is looking to add on to their three consecutive victories. However, they’ll have to do it on away turf, where their performances this season haven’t been their best.
FC DALLAS
So far this season Dallas has six wins, five draws, and four losses, but they still find themselves in the top 4 of the Western Conference. They have had a few unconvincing results recently but I still consider them a worthy opponent for Nashville.
Their winless streak extended to three games on Wednesday night with a 1-2 loss at Sporting KC, but they’ll be looking to get back on track in front of their home crowd where they have only lost 1 game this season.
In their loss to Sporting KC, Dallas had 47% possession and 11 attempts on goal.
The only player for Dallas to get on the score sheet was none other than Jesus Ferreira. He has been in magnificent form so far this season but will face a tough test against Nashville’s backline.
Dallas have managed to score at least 1 goal in 5 consecutive matches, but more times than not they find themselves stuck at the 1.
NASHVILLE SC
Nashville extended their unbeaten run in the League to 7 matches after a 3-1 win over Columbus at Geodis Park. Nashville found themselves down 1-0 early but managed to take over in the second half to come back and win.
In their win against Columbus, Nashville had 47% possession and 17 shots at goal. Typically Nashville is known for scoring few goals but winning based off defensive performance. However, they have scored 2+ goals in 5 of their last 6 League matches and despite an Open Cup defeat to Miami a week ago they were unbeaten in the entire month of May.

PROP BETS
| Nashville SC to Win or Tie & Dallas Under 1.5 Total Goals (-105) |
There are very few teams in the MLS right now that have a defense as good as Nashville’s.
They currently rank 1st in the League with the fewest goals conceded and rank 2nd in the League in goal differential. They’ve only conceded 10 goals in 15 League matches played thus far this season.
Dallas also haven’t been the most exciting attacking team this season and with Forward Tarik Scott recently suffering an injury they might become even less exciting.
With Dallas being riddled with injury and Nashville’s Walker Zimmerman likely making his comeback it’s hard for me to bet against The Music.
| Hany Mukhtar to Score Anytime (-+140) |
Reigning MLS MVP and Nashville’s playmaker, Hany Mukhtar is picking up right where he left off last season.
He’s scored 6 goals in his last 5 appearances and he’s currently the leading goal scorer for Nashville. Mukhtar ranks 2nd in the entire League at the moment.
It is very rare to see a Nashville attack without Hany Mukhtar having something to do with it. This consistent involvement and the added bonus of being the spot taker will likely get him a goal this weekend.

TIPS
- Dallas will be without Paul Arriola, Tarik Scott, Geovane Jesus, and Sebastian Lletget for the game against Nashville.
- Nashville will be without Nick DePuy for the game against Dallas, while star defender Walker Zimmerman remains questionable.
- Nashville have kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last 7 matches against Dallas in all competitions.
- Nashville have won 5 of their last 6 League matches.
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Nashville’s last 6 League matches.
THE WORD
Despite Dallas being the expected winners this weekend with a 44% win probability, I still like Nashville’s shot at getting at least a point on the road.
Dallas has several injuries that they’re dealing with which could have an effect on the outcome of this game. This is a tough match to call as both teams are in the top 4 of their respective conferences.
Dallas are unbeaten in their last 6 home games, while Nashville are on a 7 game unbeaten run. Nashville has however won their previous 2 games against Dallas. I expect there to be a couple of goals, but ultimately a draw seems like a likely outcome.
