Manchester United vs. Everton Expert Pick – April 8th, 2023

MANCHESTER UNITED VS. EVERTON EXPERT PICK – APRIL 8th, 2023 – Get some baked beans and blood sausage for an early morning English breakfast as Everton head to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United in this weekend’s early match.

The Red Devils come into this game having scored their first goal and win in four Premier League matches as they went on to narrowly beat Brentford 1-0 this past Wednesday. United seem to turn it up a notch when playing at Old Trafford though, having only lost once and only allowing eight total goals this season at home.

Everton are coming off a whirlwind of a game where they picked up a point in a 1-1 draw against Tottenham. They are currently sitting in the danger zone of being relegated and are only safe at the moment due to goal differential. Everton are unbeaten in their previous 4 games, but Manchester United don’t lose at Old Trafford.

While it may be tough to foresee an Everton win, Dyche has definitely made his team much harder to beat these days. Can Everton sneak away with a result? The bookies don’t think so.

Prop Bets

| Under 2.5 Total Goals & Both Teams to Score No (+155) |

Manchester United rank around the middle of the table when it comes to goals scored and they’ve been held scoreless in three of their last four Premier League matches.

However, they have only lost one game this season at Old Trafford and they have only allowed a league-leading eight goals at home this season. Everton tend to keep a tight formation in the back and they don’t typically score a lot of goals, which leads me to believe that there won’t be too many goals in this one.

| Marcus Rashford to Score Anytime (-105) |

Marcus Rashford scored when these two teams played in the FA Cup earlier this year and the United striker was on target in in their previous match, helping United to a 1-0 win over Brentford. Rashford has scored 15 goals in the Premier League alone this season, as well as another 13 in all other competitions, so he is an obvious choice to score in Saturday’s match against Everton.

Tips

  • Donny van de Beek, Christian Eriksen, Alejandro Garnacho, and Casemiro are all out this Saturday for Manchester United.
  • Andros Townsend and Abdoulaye Doucoure are both ruled out, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin is doubtful for Everton.
  • Everton are unbeaten in their previous 4 Premier League matches.
  • Manchester United have only 1 loss at Old Trafford this season and have conceeded a league leading 8 goals at home.
  • Everton have only won 1 away game this Premier League season.
  • There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Manchester United’s last 3 Premier League games.

The Word

Manchester United finally got themselves out of their slump thanks again to their star striker Marcus Rashford who scored his 15th Premier League goal of the season.

United have seemed flat without Eriksen and Casemiro, but the pace of Marcus Rashford and Antony should give the slow-paced Everton defense plenty of problems.

Sure Everton have gone 4 straight Premier League games without a defeat, but at Old Trafford there is only one likely result here. I expect Manchester United to win this one comfortably.

PREDICTION: MANCHESTER UNITED 2 – 0 EVERTON
