Los Angeles Rams vs. Green Bay Packers — In-Season Stats & Betting Trends

The Rams have dropped three of their first four games this season, including a 24-18 setback against the Chicago Bears in Week 4. Matthew Stafford completed 20 of 29 passes for 224 yards, with one interception. Kyren Williams powered the ground game with 94 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown, while Tutu Atwell caught four passes for 82 yards. In addition to winning the time of possession battle, Los Angeles outgained Chicago 322-264 and held its opponent to a 33.3 conversion rate on third down, but could not make enough plays in a very winnable game.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, the Packers are coming off a 31-29 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Jordan Love was under center for the green and gold after missing the last two games with an injured MCL. He finished 32 of 54 for 389 yards and four touchdowns. Both numbers are career highs. However, Love also matched a career-high with three interceptions. Josh Jacobs (nine carries for 51 yards) and Emanuel Wilson (eight carries totaling 27 yards) accounted for 78 of the team’s 86 rushing yards. Jayden Reed hauled in seven catches for 139 yards and one touchdown. Green Bay trailed 28-7 in the first half before rallying to trim the deficit to two points in the final frame. Unfortunately, their comeback attempt fell a bit short.

Rams’ Defense vs. Packers’ Offense

The Rams are still without their top two receivers, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. This factor contributes to the team averaging just 18.8 points per contest. Defensively, they are ranked 31st in points allowed (28.8 PPG),  31st in total yards per game (385.3), and 32nd in rushing yards allowed (165.5 YPG). With that in mind, the Packers — who have the sixth-highest scoring average in the league and rank third in total yards (417.8) — will have no trouble against a Rams’ secondary that has given up big plays all season.
