Cubs at Bucs (-115)

The entire baseball world is excited tonight for the MLB Pirates debut of pitcher phenom Paul Skenes.

Out of LSU, Skenes was the #1 pick in the draft last year and he has dominated in Triple AAA so far. The 22-year old right-hander matches the first start hype of both the Nats Stephen Strasberg and the the Rangers high school sensation David Clyde many years ago.

In Triple AAA, Skenes has been super-human, striking out more that 40 percent of hitters he faced and compiling a sub-one ERA of 0.99.

The Pirates can’t hit worth a crap, but they face a Cubs lefty spot starter in Justin Steele. The Pirates have hit lefties better all season, with an OPS that is 100 points higher against southpaws than righties.

PNC Park will be rocking in the ‘Burgh! No Penguins? Who cares? Go Pirates!

NHL Johnny HOCKEY BOMB💣

Rangers at Raleigh (-150)

The Rangers have won all seven of their playoff games, and they beat Carolina twice in OT in this series. This matchup could be 2-1 Hurricanes with a few minor breaks for Raleigh, in lieu of 3-0 New York! If the Rangers win tonight, they will be the first NHL team to win their first eight playoff games since NHL play-off realignment in 1987.  Last time: 1940-something. Not good odds.

Carolina is too good and way to0 proud to let this happen. They need to win this game at home tonight, reward their rabid fan base with a win and go to New York, and hope for a miracle.

This series is about to turn, I can feel it. HOCKEY BOMB! 

Pick: Raleigh (-150)

Dallas At Colorado (-130)

The Avalanche just keep finding ways to win. People forget this team won 50 regular season games. They are a relentless bunch and I like them seizing the series lead at home after stealing one in Dallas. The Stars are blowing a lot of leads these days, is it fatigue? We’ll find out how they handle the high altitude in the mountains tonight! No lead is safe for Dallas right now!
