MLB BABY!
Yankees at Astros (-135)
Houston has lost six straight at home dating back to the ACLS. The Astros are bound to win a game before May. Astros’ Jose Abreu comes back today after serving a two-game suspension. That leaves Abreu, Pressly and Hader all ready to go. I’ll bank on that.
Pick: Houston (-135)
Braves at Phils (+125)
I like Aaron Nola at home, but the Phils’ bullpen got exposed by Atlanta. Phillies need a strong seven out of Nola and then hang on for dear life.
Pick: Phillies (+125)
BoSox at M’s (-150)
Logan Gilbert might be a Cy Young candidate this year. He was dynamite at the end of last season and this spring. This kid has nasty stuff and he’s tough as a sun-beaten old Texas dusty boot. The M’s Ice-man cometh.
Pick: Seattle (-150)

Brew Crew at Mets (-125)
Hunch here that Luis Severino gets off to a blazing start with the Mets. These are two teams that will struggle to win 86 games.
Pick: Mets (-125)
Angels at O’s (-165)
Angels are a pathetic bunch. Give me some Camden Yards home cooking and the O’s can get the stink of their three-game playoff sweep off their uniforms.
Pick: O’s (-165)
Rocks at Snakes (-175)
Colorado is a very bad ball club. No bet against the Rockies on the road at under -200 is a bad bet.
Pick: D-Backs (-175)
College Hoops
Clemson (+3.5) Vs. Alabama
Alabama this and Alabama that. Whatever. The Crimson Tide went 0-4 in their four biggest non-conference games during the regular season. They’ve had a relatively easy path to get here. Who have they really beaten other than North Carolina?
The Tigers at 9-1 ATS as a dog. Wow. Let that sink in.
They’ve won their past three games outright despite the fact they were underdogs and picked to lose each game.
Pick: Clemson (+3.5)

NHL
Toronto (-150) at Buffalo
I’m going to fade the Sabres even after they came through for me last night. After getting behind 2-0 early, Buffalo stormed back to win 5-2. I think that took a lot out of them. The Leafs are the best team whiners and complainers can buy. They need to back up their talk.
Pick: Leafs (-150)
Pens (-175) at Columbus
Oh my. Is Pittsburgh going to lose to another bottom-feeder? At some point, the embarrassment of a lost season has to stop. If you want to be a serious hockey team with playoff hopes, you simply cannot lose to this dreadful Columbus clown show on skates. Or can you?
C’mon Team Crosby, don’t embarrass the city tonight. Go Pens!
