JOHNNY’S QUICK PICKS April 29, 2024

PITTSBURGH —

You can’t get any hotter than me right now! Every day, check out my selections on Daily Picks

I’m up big overall and in MLB! So let’s start Monday off HUUUGE! Got MLB, got NHL!

Read below for Johnny’s Quick Picks for April 29 2024

MLB BABY!

Phils (-135) at Angels

Well, I’ll be darned! The Phillies actually have some pitching. Today’s Phillies phenom is Christopher Sanchez. He’s been stellar, going against a struggling Angels team that has lost four straight, nine of 10 and have been outscored 65-34 in their last 10 games.

Pick: Phils (-135)

Cubs at Mets (-140)

Cubs starter Jameson Taillon missed all of spring training. The Mets go with Luis Severino, who has looked really good early. The Cubs might be playing over their heads right now. They come down to earth here.

Pick: Mets (-140)

Twins (-155) at White Sox

The White Sox are in a 110-loss year rebuild. They won their one game a week on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Twinkies have caught fire after a slow start and have reeled off seven wins in a row. I like Joe Ryan here to keep the juice going.

Pick: Twins (-155)

Bucs (-125) at A’s

This is still the A’s, folks. The Pirates’ Bailey Falter has an .089 WHIP and has been solid. The A’s Joe Boyle has gotten slammed. Pirates need to win a few games on this west coast swing.

Pick: Bucs (-125)

NHL

Dallas (-120) at Vegas

Well, hello, Dallas.

Your backs are against the wall again tonight. Like they were on Saturday night.

No NHL team has been better on the road this season than the Dallas Stars.

The Stars are the better team and they have outshot Vegas in every game. The tide turns tonight.

Pick: Stars (-120)
