JOHNNY’S QUICK PICKS April 08, 2024

PITTSBURGH–

GAME DAY! Well, here we are! This is it! Purdue Vs. UConn – the epic match up! Big Vs. Big. Trey ball vs. Paint ball! Let’s end the season with a winner! MLB is hot too!

Read below for Johnny’s Quick Picks for April 08 2024

MLB BABY!

Houston (+115) at Texas

I’m going for Houston to go on a roll. Framber’s stuff has been electric. How many games can this team lose? I’m going to catch a wave. Texas is Texas, but at some point, the Astros have to start to hit.

Pick: Houston (+115)

Tigers at Pirates (-130)

I’m loving me some Pirates baseball! They are finding way to win, they are young, they love the game and they are having fun. The Tigers just lost a series at home to Oakland (Sacramento), scoring one run in two games. They came within a hair of getting swept. I’m going with the Bucs’ Mitch Keller, who needs to get back on track — and fast.

Pick: Bucs (-130)

Phils (+105) at Cards

Phillies starter Spencer Turnbull is back from Tommy John surgery. His first start was solid: five innings, no runs, seven punch-outs with no BB. The Cards just lost to Miami (LOL). Cardinals Clown Show.

Pick: Phils (+105)

NHL

Pens (+130) at Leafs

Tough game. Can the Pens keep winning? In the infamous words of the late great Mets closer Tug McGraw: “Ya gotta believe!”

Pick: Pens (+130)

College Hoops

Purdue (+7) Vs. UConn

It’s the battle of the bigs. It’s the battle of the treys. We’ve got a battle in the paint and a battle of the boards. It’s an epic battle of the two best teams in college basketball right now. I’ll take Purdue and the points in a very close game!
