After getting my butt kicked Thursday night by the CAPS, I’m looking for a big day today. Note: I can’t win a bet on the Washington Capitols this season, so I’m done with them!

College Basketball

Alabama at Kentucky (-2.5)

Alabama is hot! They have won seven of eight and three straight, while scoring an average of 102 points a game. Wow, right? They are only 4-3 on the road.

Kentucky at home is no Kansas. The Wildcats started 12-2, then went south. They are 6-6 in their last 12 with a grueling schedule. Kentucky has lost three of their last four home games.

So why are they favored?

This is a bigger game for KY than the Tide. Everybody is betting Alabama.

Except us! Bet against the public and more often than not you’ll cash in.

Pick: Kentucky (-2.5)

NHL!

Tampa Bay at Islanders (-105)

Something is seriously wrong with this Tampa team. They are losing now everyday, and after tying the CAPS at 3-3 at home on Thursday, they coughed up two goals in the last 10 minutes of the game, blowing another one 5-3. Fade them until they turn it around.

Pick: Isles (-105)

Rangers (-135) at Flyers

Rangers ready to make a statement in the city of brotherly love. This is a very dangerous team.

Pick: Rangers (-135)

Ducks at Kings (-1.5 goals)

Anaheim is the worst team in the league. The Kings are at home and they’ve defeated  the Ducks a bunch of games in a row. Blow out.

Pick: Kings (-1.5 goals)
