NHLÂ
San Jose (+1.5) at Red Wings
It’s Shark-O-Mania in the Motor City! San Jose, as pathetic as they were early on, is on a mini-roll of late. They’ve won four of six. No great shakes, but five of their last seven losses have been by one goal!Â
The Sharks have played the NHL’s sledgehammers of late and have come out over .500.
Detroit is hot too, winning three straight-but it came against the league’s catfish.Â
Pick: San Jose (+1.5)
Toronto (-130) at OttawaÂ
Sorry, Senators. Sorry, Dan Angell. Your team is terrible right now, and forever.Â
Pick: Leafs (-130)
Flyers at Arizona (-115)
Letdown alert! Four out of the Flyers last five games have gone to O.T.!
Plus, Philly has been on a rivalry tour! They have played the Islanders twice, New York twice, the Penguins twice and New Jersey.
Can we say Philly letdown in the desert?
Phoenix has reeled off five in a row!
Coyotes catch a tired team. LFG!
Pick: Arizona (-115)
Minnesota (+110) at VancouverÂ
Minnesota is a crazy team. It’s like a box of chocolates- you never know what you’ll get.
They’ve popped four straight W’s while out scoring opponents 18-5 in that span. This is one crazy-ass hot team! Do you believe in big MO!Â
Also, Minny has beaten Vancouver six straight games!Â
The Canucks win one, lose one. They lose here tonight to this kooky Wild bunch!Â
Pick: Minnesota (+110)
NFL
Pats at Steelers (-6)
I’m laying six with Trubinsky! The Chargers’ last shutout was like 1966 when John Hadl was quarterback and Sid Gillman was coach. They washed out the Pats last week 6-zip.Â
The Steelers were humiliated last week at home by a team with two wins. I bet they’re a little pissed off. I’ve been to a Pittsburgh home game on TNF. They’ll go bonkers!
