NHL
We had an easy blowout win in the NHL with Arizona last night, with a 5-0 first period lead. We are rolling now. I’m all over the NHL! Don’t be a hockey puck!Â
Minnesota at Calgary (-110)Â
Minnesota is a funky team. They just won three games in a row by a 10 points collectively. Now I’m not like sold on Calgary, frankly, but they are at home and they have Minny’s number, winning six of eight. What goes up must come down. Both teams are a game under .500. Let’s go Flames!
Pick: Calgary (-110)Â
Devils (-110) at VancouverÂ
New Jersey has owned the Canucks! They’ve won nine of the last 10. This is evidently just a bad a match-up for Vancouver. The less I know about hockey, the more blessed I am. Less is best. But nine of 10 is dominant in any sport.Â
Vancouver is 4-5 in their last nine games, big deal. The Devils got bush-whacked at San Jose and their little pitty-party is over. It’s bounce back night for Jersey.Â
Pick: Jersey (-110)Â
College HoopsÂ
UNC-Asheville (+2) at Kennesaw StateÂ
The Owls this and the Owls that. Blah-blah-blah-Triple blah. Sheesh.Â
Asheville is healthy now with four straight wins. This is a very tough conference game, and I’m not sold on Kennesaw State, they are trading off last year. Nice upset here.Â
Pick: UNC-Asheville (+2)Â
North Texas at Boise State (-4)Â
Run and gun, baby! What has Boise State done? Ripped through their schedule and lost road games to Clemson, Butler and VA. Tech. Not bad. They beat St. Mary’s by four and VCU by five at home.Â
Does North Texas measure up to this on the road? No.Â
