College HoopsÂ
Marquette (-3) at Wisconsin
Marquette is averaging 81 points a game. Their speed and athleticism is too much for a much slower and plodding Badger team. Too many trey balls raining down on Wisconsin.
Pick: Marquette (-3)
College Football
Oklahoma State (+15) VS. Texas
Texas can’t score to save their life in the red zone. They rank 130th in scoring vs. trips inside the opponents twenty-yard line. They are only ahead of two D-1 programs in the country: Louisiana-Monroe and Kent State. Think about that.
The Cowboys will put up some points while controlling the clock with star half-back Ollie Gordon II. Take the points – this could be an upset.
SMU VS. Tulane (-3)
The Mustangs have one of the best offenses in college football, averaging 475 yards and 42 points a game.
Problem: their QB is out and they are going with a red-shirt freshman.
Tulane plays defense, and this now becomes an impossible task for SMU. The Wave’s pass rush is for real. The Wave got smoked by Ole Miss, but that was it. This is a rout.
Pick: Tulane (-3)
Florida State VS. Louisville (+1.5)
Florida State has no quarterback in an ACC championship game. They are likely to start a red-shirt freshman who has taken five D-1 college football snaps.
Be smart here, no way the Seminoles win with no QB. Back up QB Todd Rodenmaker is likely out.
The Cards are a solid club. If Jack Plummer gets any time at all, the Seminoles are in trouble with no offense.
Pick: Louisville (+1.5)
Michigan (-22) VS. Iowa
LMAO. Iowa can’t score – they have the worst offense in D-1 Power 5 football. This game is blow-out for Michigan, like 35-3. I’d lay 30. Michigan needs to score 27 points to cover.
Pick: Michigan (-22)
Alabama VS. Georgia (-4.5)
Excuse me, why is this game only -4.5? Why is Alabama here? Why has the game been bet down from 6.5 to 4.5 in three days in Vegas?
It’s all based on the Nick Saban magic and the public hating on Georgia.
This game should be -8 for the Bulldogs, not 4.5.
As for Georgia: who can stop them? Not Ole Miss, not Tennessee, not Alabama.
See ya, Nick. You’re out.
