Mets (-1.5 runs) at Oakland Athletics, 4:07 EST  

No bet against Oakland is a bad bet this season. The Mets need to get the ship righted against bad teams. The A’s pitching is an oxymoron.

Pick: Mets -1.5 Runs (-120)  

Phillies at Reds (-105), 4:10 EST  

I just can’t bet the Phillies right now and I like this pitching matchup for Cincinnati today.

Philadelphia has averaged just 3.5 runs per game on the road this season with opponents averaging 6.4 runs per game against them. Not a good road start.

Philadelphia’s bullpen is a horror show. It’s like bring in the clowns.

Their collective ERA is 6.18 and a whopping 7.16 on the road.  The Red-Legs have averaged 5.2 runs per game against lefty starter’s this season hitting .264 as a team against them and Cincinnati has also averaged 4.9 runs per game at home this season.

Pick: Reds (-105)

Baltimore at ChiSox (-105), 2:10 EST 

Chicago is coming off another tough loss. At some point, they will have a break out game on offense. This is it today, at home on the South Side.

Mike Kopech was lights out in his last outing and he’s back for Chicago today against a suspect Birds offense.

Pick: White Sox (-105) 

Brewers at Padres (-140), 4:05 EST, FS1 

San Diego is currently on a four game losing streak. Not encouraging. Their stopper goes today, Seth Lugo. I bet stoppers.

Lugo’s line: 13 innings pitched, 1.39 ERA and 12 strikeouts. Ouch.

Pick: Padres (-140)  

Cubs at Dodgers (-135), 9:10 EST 

When do the vaunted Dodgers start winning?

Chicago’s starter Jameson Taillon is 0-2 on the season with a 7.0 ERA. Breakout time for Dodger Blue!

This is a perfect opportunity for Los Angeles to get their offense going and jump to 8-7 on the season.

Pick: Dodgers -135

Texas At Astros (-190), 7:10 EST 

Give me some Hunter Brown home cooking! This guy’s stuff is electric and he was three up and grabbed the pine last week. He just may be Houston’s MLB rookie of the year.

Texas won last night…zzzz…I’m going with Hunter tonight. At the end of the day, the Rangers have very little starting pitching. The best team this side of the Yankees money can’t buy!
