Cards (-130) at White Sox
The Cardinals bullpen has been a disaster all season and they blew another five run lead in the 7th inning last night.
The problem for Chicago is simple: their bullpen is spent. The Cards’ Mike Mikolas numbers look worse than they are, all his inherited runners score, inflating his ERA. Chicago’s starter has pitched a grand total of 13 innings this season. The White Sox are 3-8 in their last 11 games on the south side.
Pick: Cards (-130)

Reds at Brewers (-130)
The Reds balloon is about to bust. It’s Newton’s Law of Physics: What comes up must come down. I’ve been saying the Reds pitching metrics are horrific and they can’t keep scoring 10 runs a day.
Finally, the Brew-Crew’s offense has come alive. Look for the Reds to get swept here and come back down to earth.
Pick: Brewers (-130)

A’s at Boston (-1.5 runs, -120)
When Boston starts scoring 8-10 runs a game at Fenway, it gets contagious. James Paxton is back, going eight innings last time out and tossing a 3-hit shut-out. Paxton’s ERA at home is 1.69. Ride him when he gets in this groove.
Pick: Boston (-1.5 runs, -120)
Braves (-160) at Rays
I love Atlanta here again as the Rays have pressure to prove they are not a one-half wonder. Spencer Strider had a lights out game last start, and he’s 6-1 on the road. On the other side, Taj Bradley blew up, giving up nine hits and five runs in three innings. His ERA at home is 5.27. The Braves rule this league, and they will prove it again tonight at the Trop. Start fading the Rays and Reds.
Pick: Atlanta (-160)

M’s at Houston (-135)
The Astros have gotten walloped at home by Seattle two nights in a row, being outscored 15-2. They look like a team limping into the break.
Then along comes Framber Valdez, rested and ready, after having missed a start. Baseball is a funny game. Things never stay the same. I’ll take one of the five top starters in the MLB at -135 any day. Especially today!
Pick: Astros (-135)
Â
Angels at Dodgers (-145)
Fade the Angels without Trout. It’s really that simple. They know they are losing Ohtani in the next two weeks. This is a sad sack bunch.
Pick: Dodgers (-145)
Â
Mets at PODS (-170)
This is a stubborn bet that at some point in our lifetime the San Diego Padres have to start winning ball-games. They lost again last night, but today that lineup goes up against the Mets David Peterson, whose road ERA is 9.21. If the Padres lose this game, they are really in a hole. When do they win?
