DraftKings

Oakland at Pittsburgh (-1.5 Runs, EVEN)

It is what it is.

The Pirates are coming off a sweep of the Cardinals and now ride a five game win streak. Oakland got blasted out of Miami and has dropped four run-line games in a row. It’s sad, but true!

Pick: Pittsburgh (-1.5 Runs, EVEN)

St. Louis at Texas (Over 9.5 Runs, -120)

I hardly ever bet run totals, but this one jumps out. The Rangers are hitting the cover off the ball, garnering 15 and 19 hits respectively over their last two games and scoring 12 and 16 runs. Wow.

Now they face the Card’s Adam Wainwright who has been putrid this season, sporting a road season ERA of 7.59.

Meanwhile the hapless loser Cardinals have averaged 5.7 runs per game against lefty starters, and they face Texas southpaw Perez tonight. He’s been equally as atrocious, with a 6.91 ERA over his last five starts.

Who will get anybody out?

Having said that, when I bet the over the game almost always ends up 1-0.

Pick: Over 9.5 Runs (-120)
