John Fredericks: MLB Moneyline Wagers for Monday, July 3
JOHN FREDERICKS: MLB MONEYLINE WAGERS FOR MONDAY, JULY 3 2023 –Â We bounced back yesterday with a nice 4-2 day, winning +$135. This brings us to 170-149-1 and minus -$1,540 on the season. We lost two tough one-run games in the last inning that prevented a monster day. Let the winning continue!
2023 MLB Godzilla Season Stats
170-149-1, -$1,540
*Based on all wagers at $100 per game at money or run line odds as specified in Draft Kings. Note: If money line is -$150, we are laying $150 to win $100, etc.  If we take +$130 and we win, we win $130 for our $100.
Cards at Miami (-130)
The Marlins can’t beat the Braves—but not to worry-no one can beat the Braves right now. Absent Atlanta, the Fish are nine games over .500 and are a solid playoff team.
While the Cards beat the Yankees two of three, they are still a catastrophe.
The Marlin’s Braxton Garrett is worth betting here, as he has been outstanding in June, allowing four earned runs in four starts. St. Louis’ Mikolas has been getting pounded all season, and has not lived up to 2023 expectations.
Get this: the Cardinals are 4-11 in their last 15 games against teams with a winning record. Two teams – and two starters—going in the opposite direction.
Pick: Fish (-130)

Houston (+125) at Texas
Say what you want about the Astros-this team has incredible heart. With half the roster injured, they still manage to win tough games.
While Christian Javier has been shaky in his last two outings, he manages to keep his team in games until they get to that bullpen, which is lights out. Right now Ryan Pressly looks very sharp.
The Astros just seem to gut these wins out.
Pick: Houston (+125)

O’s (-115) at Yankees
Domingo Germain is coming off a no-hitter. It’s tough to repeat nowadays in this league.
The Orioles salvaged a game at home on Sunday to avoid a Twinkies sweep, and they have hit very well on the road, averaging 5.3 runs a game.
The Bird’s Tyler Wells has been stellar, with an ERA of 3.21 and a WHIP of 0.88—he’s allowed no more than two earned runs in each of his last six starts.
New York has also hit just .183 as a team lifetime against Wells with an on-base percentage of .216. Interesting the Yanks can’t hit this guy.
Pick: O’s (-115)
Braves (-125) at Cleveland
The Braves are the hottest team in baseball. This is a pure ride the winning streak play. I’m riding them until they cool off. While I have changed my approach of late, I stay with hot teams as the best way to beat baseball is to ride streaks. Cleveland just beat the Cubs two of three and so Guardian bettors have bet the price down here.
Pick: Atlanta (-125)

M’s (+130) at Giants
Call me crazy but I am still waiting for Seattle to wake up and get on a winning streak. They had a great come back last night, beating first place Tampa Bay 7-6 after being down 6-1. The one thing I don’t like is that their closer Sewald is not available tonight after pitching two games in a row.
The Giants had a seven hour flight back to San Francisco last night from New York and jet lag is real in a turnaround game with only a few hours sleep.
