Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl Odds and Best Bets

Washington State (7-5) vs. Fresno State (9-4)

JIMMY KIMMEL LA BOWL ODDS AND BEST BETS - Another bowl game, another spread that has gone absolutely haywire. This line opened with Fresno State as a 4.5 point underdog and has moved seven points in the other direction where it’s settled with Fresno State -3.5.

So, what gives? Well, the Washington State Cougars have gotten absolutely smoked on the transfer portal. They’ve lost two of their leading receivers in an offense that already skews pass happy. Additionally, they’ve lost two linebackers and their defensive coordinator. The Cougars are going to have a ton of unknowns coming into this game.

Nate's Pick

Fresno State is a team that is just damn happy to be here. Playing a bowl game in LA should be something of a home game with a short travel time for fans. Fresno State recruits heavily in Southern California, so the players should be fired up to show out in front of friends and family.

The Cougars throw the ball on almost 60% of their offensive plays, but this is a more of a dink-and-dunk Air Raid type offense rather than an explosive unit. And remember they are down two receivers.

Tough matchup against a frisky Fresno State secondary that grades out as the 17th best coverage unit in college football.

Both of these teams boast solid secondaries, so this could be a game filled with incompletions as neither team is particularly explosive offensively to begin with.

I’ll take a side and a total. We aren’t getting the greatest value in the world, but I do think that Fresno is probably more motivated here and they certainly come in with a roster that is more intact than Washington State.

Go ahead and lay the points here with Fresno and take a shot at the under as well.

Nate’s Pick

Fresno State -3.5

Under 52.5 Points
