Fever Looking To Continue Momentum

The Fever didn’t exactly begin the season the way they’d hoped, as they dropped each of their first five games. But things have been trending upward for the Fever since that rough start. In fact, they have posted victories in each of their last three contests.

This includes an 88-81 victory over the Washington Mystics on Wednesday night. In that contest, reigning Rookie of the Year forward Aliyah Boston tied for team-high scoring honors with 22 points, connecting on eight of her 11 attempts from the floor. She also had eight boards and two dimes.

Kelsey Mitchell also finished with 22 points on an identical 8-for-11 from the field, including a 4-for-5 effort from beyond the arc. Caitlin Clark was no slouch either, as this year’s No. 1 overall pick finished with 18 points, a season-high 12 rebounds, and six assists, while NaLyssa Smith contributed 11 points and seven rebounds.

In addition to their current three-game winning streak, the Fever have notched four consecutive wins at home for the first time since August 2015.

Dream Looking To Get Back Into The Win Column Against Surging Fever

Meanwhile, the Dream have not been faring well as of late. After producing four wins across their first six contests, they have dropped five of their last seven games, including a 68-55 decision against the Minnesota Lynx on Wednesday night. To be objective, there is no shame in losing to a team that has the third-best record in the league heading into Friday night’s action.
