Both men have seen their fair share of decisions throughout their careers. They have been fighting in the upper tier of the division for some time, which makes it much harder to win by a finish.
The long awaited BMF title is up for contention this Saturday night, as Dustin Poirier (29-7 MMA, 21-6 UFC) faces off against Justin Gaethje (24-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC). The fighter will determine who will be the baddest motherfu*cker on the planet.Â
This week’s MVP Bobby Green likes to push the pace, which is a disadvantage for opponent Tony Ferguson.
Gaethje has improved since their first meeting, but Poirier also has. It is an extremely close fight between two tough fighters, and neither will quit or give up.
Until Holland proves he has indeed improved his takedown defense and defensive grappling, I’ll happily take an underdog shot on any fighter I believe has a grappling edge over him.
This weekend, the BMF title will be on the line for the second time in promotional history…
Usually undefeated women making their UFC debut doesn’t bode well for them and they end up taking their first professional loss when they realize this is a completely different level. However, every fight is a different stylistic clash and I feel this one lines up perfectly for Bannon to get her hand raised.
Aspinall is faster and more athletic than Tybura but has questions surrounding his knee. It is his first time in the octagon since injuring it, so it is not foolish to be somewhat skeptical.
He is in his home country and is a heavy favorite. The oddsmakers are not wrong this time. He excels on the mat and has powerful hands. Tybura is a solid all-around fighter, but cannot match the athleticism of Aspinall.
