This year, the NFL gave the audience a great slate of NFL games that made new records in terms of viewership. Although we did not know what to expect, the three Thanksgiving games turned out to be competitive, thus making fans tune in in large numbers to watch the NFC North and NFC East divisional games and the inter-conference match between the Dolphins and Packers.
Down 17-0 at halftime and then 27-13 with 5 and a half minutes to go in the 4th, UGA found a way to tie the game and duke it out with the Yellow Jackets across 8 overtimes before ultimately outlasting them. It was what has been the standard slow start from the Bulldogs, who were held scoreless at half for the first time since 2019.
The magnitude of this game will be clear by the time kickoff happens. By the time Iowa State and Arizona State reach Arlington, they’ll know if they’re definitely playing for a top-four seed or not.
