Arizona’s been invincible at McKale Center. It hasn’t mattered who the opposition has been; the Wildcats have run them over. In eight games at home, the closest anyone has come to beating the Wildcats was last time out — a 19-point win for Arizona against Utah.
The teams have met seven times since UConn rejoined the Big East, and all of them have been decided by single digits. Out of the past five, only one was decided by more than four points, and these have almost exclusively been defensive affairs.
As per usual in La Quinta, the players will be playing multiple courses. They’ll tee it up twice at the Pete Dye Stadium Course, and play a round apiece at PGA West and LaQuinta Country Club. The cut will be after 54-holes when all the players have played a round at each course in the rotation.
The Pittsburgh Steelers travel up north to face the Buffalo Bills in a classic AFC Super Wild Card Playoff showdown. A few weeks ago, both teams were considered long shots for the playoffs as the Steelers locked in the last seed and the Bills won the AFC East winning five straight games to end the season.
