The Cardinals have actually never beaten Clemson, despite having some pretty good teams and playing the Tigers every season as ACC members. It just so happened that Louisville joined the ACC right at the time of Clemson’s rise to a national power, and the Cardinals found themselves playing second or third fiddle pretty quick.
James Franklin just can’t catch a break in this matchup. This is the one team that Franklin hasn’t been able to solve in Happy Valley, and now he’s got to go in against Ohio State with his starting quarterback at 50% at best.

Duke was supposed to struggle after Mike Elko left for Texas A&M and Riley Leonard went to Notre Dame. But somehow, Diaz has managed to win in his first year in Durham.
For whatever reason, when Campbell’s Cyclones play with no expectations, they’re one of the best teams in the Big 12. That’s playing out again this season, as the Cyclones are 7-0 and on track to meet BYU in the Big 12 title game.
Oklahoma State will play a football game in Stillwater on Saturday against Arizona State. And, as everyone expected, the game means bowl eligibility for one of the two teams.
