The Golden State Warriors face off against the Dallas Mavericks in a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Finals. The Warriors will try to use their salty veteran lineup to keep the Luka Doncic experience at bay for the game. I have been ice cold this NBA season, but I can feel a hot streak coming just as soon as I figure out how to predict one of these games.
The Minnesota Timberwolves (9-8) travel to Indiana to face the streaking Pacers (10-6) in a Wednesday night matchup. The Pacers are owners of a five game win streak and are currently 4th in the Eastern Conference and 2.5 games behind the first place Boston Celtics (13-4). The Pacers smashed the the Orlando Magic, 123-102, on Monday night.
The Brooklyn Nets take the train to Philly to face a hobbled Sixers bunch who is coming off a close loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday night. Philadelphia is without James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, and Joel Embiid tonight. They will look to some key role players like Jaden Springer to provide a boost in this midweek matchup.
It’s 11:15 pm on a Friday night and I’m thinking hard about the Orlando Magic (0-2). Why do I love Orlando? It’s too early to break out the advanced metrics, which I’ve grown accustomed to using to inflate any random opinion I hold about any sports team from football to cricket.

We had a lot of fun and our share of excitement and upsets. We are 8-7 ATS with one big game left. Let’s nail it, shall we? 9-7 in the tournament beats 8-8 anytime. Winning is winning.

Sweet 16 -This Separates Pretenders from Contenders — As stated earlier, I’m not a big proponent of picking too many early March Madness games. Not the same for the Sweet 16- this is big time. And in order to be the Godzilla of Wins, we have to have made big-time picks on the big stage. We have started off 2-2, hoping to run the table over the next two days, at 8-0.
