Surprisingly, I like a lot of the matchups this week, which will obviously get me back on the plus-side of .500. Got to stay above the Wreathway Line.
This team keeps trotting Desmond Ridder out there for whatever reason as if he’s ever going to be a legitimate NFL option and until both him and Artie Smith are gone, Falcons games should only be televised on Cinemax after dark. My kink is endless punts.
I like the way last week worked out so I’m going to switch this column to that format, at least until I go 4-12 again. This is the last week with byes, as the NFL seems to be determined to use the weirdest possible convention for their bye format.
We absolutely needed that one over at Wreathway Rainmakers LLC. Hopefully that was enough rain to wash away the drought that had been specifically affecting my betting process.
However, being “with family” for “the holidays” doesn’t mean I’m not going to sneak away for an hour to make my weekly betting picks. Who do you think I am, a well-adjusted adult? BORING!
Nothing earth-shattering this week, but, on the plus side, I did beat the flipped quarter that has been destroying me over the last month and a half. And I won my top game (Steelers @ Browns), which is great, as I gave it the Fred Smith FedEx treatment and bet my remaining bankroll on it.
I still have Baltimore as my number one team so far going into Week 11, though the gap has closed after that second half performance last week. Note once again that this is not a prediction for future weeks, only a representation of how they’ve played to date.
I had Broncos @ Bills on upset alert, but I still rode with the Bills, unlike Josh Allen, who played as if he had bet his entire signing bonus on Denver. Seriously though, what has gotten into Allen this year?
Baltimore took over the top spot going into week nine, but after their absolute destruction of the Seahawks, they now have a chokehold on the number one spot. People are finally starting to catch on to Baltimore being an elite team this year. As a Lamar Jackson/Greg Roman truther, I’ve been banging this drum for weeks now.
