For this iteration of the Irish Open, I’ll be looking at guys who have excelled in this tournament in the past and I’ll be looking for guys who have solid form coming into this week. Ideally, we’ll be able to find guys who can combine history and current form to get our best wagers for the week.

The USA Ryder Cup team has been selected, and now all eyes turn to Crans-sur-Sierre for the final European tournament before their Ryder Cup team is selected. If this isn’t the biggest tournament on the DP World Tour, it’s certainly in the discussion.

This course favors guys who don’t wow with their ability off the tee, but tend to do everything else well. Past winners have been Kevin Kisner, Tom Kim, Si Woo Kim, and J.T. Poston to name a few. All of those guys can broadly be put in the same category of players who tend to excel at shorter courses where precision is prized over power.

Si Woo Kim has long been the darling of stats nerds and golf bettors. He cashes at long prices when he wins, and when he’s clicking, he has enough game to go all the way with the game’s elite.
